"If you have a bunch of odds and ends and get rid of all but one of them, what do you call it?
Is it an odd, or an end?"

April 2006
Dear Friend,

Thanks for joining us for tea and a sweet treat! We're busy putting the finishing touches on a new book that will be released next month. We can't wait to tell you about it...so don't miss Tea Time in May! For now, here are some exciting projects to keep you busy.

FEATURE OF THE MONTH

THE XBAG

  • Clever construction
  • Attractive design
  • Three variations

ELEGANT EMBROIDERY

Perennial Garden Jacket features lovely floral embroidery! Use elegant pastels or go bold with black embroidery on a bright fabric. Pattern includes misses
sizes S-XL

WONDERFULLY RAGGY

It's relaxing to make quilts with our raggy technique, because seams don't have to match exactly and there's no batting required. A Four Corners favorite, Raggy Strip Quilting contains a nice variety of projects from quilts to vest, pillows, and tote. Raggy quilts are beginner-friendly and especially great for gifts because they go together quickly.

APRIL SHOWERS

Bring May Flowers, a wall quilt designed by Kathy Schmitz! A gardening glove holds a small bouquet of flowers, while bees busily flutter around the outdoor scene. The finished size is 12" x 24", so it's a great take-along project. Learn basic patchwork combined with machine applique and a bit of embroidery. If you like this attractive pattern, be sure to try other great patterns by Kathy Schmitz.

T-SHIRT TIME

It's time to pull out all of those favorite t-shirts that haven't been worn in years. Showcase your keepsakes with T-Shirt Memory Quilt. This delightul pattern gives instructions for completing the exact quilt pictured on the cover, but also teaches how to customize blocks. T-Shirt Memory Quilts can be made from either a compilation of events or specific themes: school, summer camp, scouting, church, vacation, concerts, sports, volunteer activites....the list goes on and on!
